BLACKBOX exists to fuel indigenous-led work among the world’s hardest to reach places and people groups.

Jesus Christ is our all in all. In Him we are complete. Ministry is not an end in itself, but the overflow of our personal relationship with Christ.

God desires to be known and glorified in every tongue, tribe, people, and nation. How will they know unless followers of Christ respond and go to where the unreached remain. Reaching the neglected frontiers, the isolated, and the lost is a priority, not a project.

We believe in a two-handed approach that is a balance of the Great Commandment (love God and people) and the Great Commission (make disciples of all nations). Glorifying the King compels disciples to respond to the urgent physical and spiritual needs of the unreached. If we neglect the Great Commandment, we hinder the Great Commission.

Our desire is to be Christ-honoring and culture-affirming. We value and champion indigenous-driven ministry on the frontlines as there are fewer cultural and sociological barriers, more potential for organic growth, as well as spontaneously expanding and enduring churches. Indeed, looking at the life and ministry of Paul in the New Testament, we see him championing the raising up of local leadership to carry the Gospel forward as well as encouraging partnerships between churches in different regions for Kingdom purposes.

Disciples make disciples. We value the practice of making disciples and church planting as essential to our mission. We partner with emerging national indigenous Christians who are gripped with a passion to establish biblical churches aimed at the remaining unreached people groups - until all are reached.

Because lost people matter to God, they matter to us. We go to serve, not to be served. We understand that each person bears the image of God. We will be known for holiness and humility. We are faithful servants who love Jesus deeply and encourage each other to attain his or her full potential in Christ.

We have a responsibility to be faithful stewards and to maintain integrity and openness. Therefore, we are committed to pursuing sound, biblical standards and truthful, accurate, timely, and appropriate communication.

Engaging the world’s remaining unreached peoples requires creativity and a sensitivity to the unique calling, vision, and needs of each missionary. We believe in leveraging technology, pioneering new ministries and methods, and adapting in order to be relevant to every generation, people group, and sphere of society.

We believe in a life and ministry of radical risk and sacrificial love, all for the glory of Christ. The confidence of a heavenly reward makes us joyful in earthly loss.

Followers of Jesus will suffer. Suffering is not just a result of missions, but a means of missions. Our suffering is an extension of Christ’s suffering, so that people do not just hear about the sacrifice of love, but witness it. When suffering transpires, which is inevitable as followers of Christ, we share abundantly in comfort through Christ.

Through faith in Jesus, we become part of the people of God. The blessings God gives us are intended to be shared with all, beginning with the inestimable blessing of salvation from sin. Everything we have received from God is ultimately to be used for the benefit of other people, especially those who do not yet know Him. We have been saved to be sent.

We are rooted in and spurred on by the all-encompassing goal of delighting in and proclaiming the worthiness of God. What drives us to partner, promote, and protect frontline indigenous work among unreached people groups is not guilt, it's God's glory.
